CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM WWW.TUT.COM

THIS IS FROM A YEAR OR TWO BACK-- MAYBE THREE...BUT EACH YEAR THIS RETURNS FROM WWW.TUT.COM  MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY MESSAGE-

"If it's not yet obvious to you, the real reason for this, and all seasons, is YOU. A more perfect child of the Universe has never lived. Until now, only celebrations cloaked in myth and mystery could hint at your divine heritage and sacred destiny. You are life's prayer of becoming and its answer. The first light at the dawn of eternity, drawn from the ether, so that I might know my own depth, discover new heights, and revel in seas of blessed emotion.

A pioneer into illusion, an adventurer into the unknown, and a lifter of veils. Courageous, heroic, and exalted by legions in the unseen.

To give beyond reason, to care beyond hope, to love without limit; to reach, stretch, and dream, in spite of your fears. These are the hallmarks of divinity - traits of the immortal - your badges of honor. May you wear them with a pride as great as the immeasurable pride we feel for you.

Your light has illuminated darkened paths, your gaze has lifted broken spirits, and already your life has changed the course of history.

This is the time of year we celebrate"

Holi-Daze

Am sooo tired. Been doing background work on TV shows lately. It bites being non- union, the remuneration is minimal and I rarely get 4 hours of sleep between jobs.
I do, however, meet all kinds of people from all walks of life-- quite interesting work, albeit not financially rewarding.
It is finally Christmas time, I'm in my usual Cusineart stae of chop, stir, and gyrate of holiday madness, but am getting through each day.

hmmm....

update on my dull life---
just obsessed with philosopher Deleuze. Other than that feeling constrained and trapped in New Jersey; I cannot escape. Sketchpads are my crack....here is what I do...

We were forced to escape the cold for a few days. The power is back, thank God, But i am very worried about my mother's 95 year old aunt who is in the cold, and whose daughter will not move her to  a warmer place. We have all offered. I cannot imagine keeping a frail 95 year old in the 20 degree weather and living with myself. Ugh... i will update in a bit...

Like hot food
I love you
like warm

or, days later, after
Thanksgiving
when I want

A Fine, bad, thing....

I've encountered so much confusion regarding fine and applied art. A friend of mine suggested i re-read the college class Heidegger discourse "Origin of the Work of Art"  after we happened upon Van Gogh's  "Shoes" at the MET.

The myriad questions re-reading this treatise promulgated started my intellectual curiosity a-brewin'........

here are some of the art pieces I began to examine, both cognitively and affectively.  Can fine art be bad? Can applied art be good? What is art? Does it matter that a Koons 'Balloon Dog' fetches 20 million (give or take) at auction when there are homeless, hungry, and jobless people out there??
